The Mapping Method Of Taking Notes

The Mapping Method of taking notes is the one I frequently use for taking down notes. This is the method of taking notes that works for me until now because it allows me to understand the lecture better and bridge the related ideas of the lectures.

Mapping method makes use of graphical representation of the lecture contents. It involves writing down the concept or terms and radiating the related ideas out of the center. With this method, you can use lines and symbols to build and link the related ideas. This is said to be the method of note taking that maximizes active participation and critical thinking.

The mapping method is the best approach when the lecture is heavy or when it will be your first time to hear the lecturer. This approach is also applicable when you are attending a conference or seminar.
